FOUNDPUNK BIKE TRAILER Rolls out!
With RVA being a bike town, I feel like this maybe something people would like to have to make the travel on two wheels more practical…and stylish!
(FOUNDPUNK = Practical Art for Everyday Use!)
It’s lightweight, moves with the natural motion of the bike and is comfortable to ride with. When we did test rides, it didn’t even feel like it was back there!
So, The BIKE TRAILER, DOGkART, FOUNDPUNK are what I’ll be looking to continually experiment and expand with to make that future for myself, and hopefully create jobs for a few people in the process…
Least that’s what the universe is telling me I should do…
and it hasn’t let me down yet.
Stage one…getting the size right.
first the thought was to use 10-speed wheels, but lower tire size would be better for stability and structure.
smaller wheel sizes
Nailed the hitch design down, not knowiing the Art Deco style would feature so prominently.
…one sexy bottom.
The first side…now to make another just like it.
This design had more sketches than I’m used to making…a sign of serious intent I guess.
Looking to Art Deco for inspiration, helps me create a stylistic design signature.
I got nervous, so I wanted to get one final size test.
The deck and logo.
Completely put together to make sure eveything fit and worked well as a cage.
Sans the cage…
